The Project Timer series has been designed especially for time tracking, which is why time tracking is easy with Project Timer Lite. With our experience in the time tracking market (Since 2001) we have devised the most intuitive and unobtrusive interface that offers all the features you need for efficient time tracking. Create timers in multiple ways, using the best for that session. Organize using the powerful and flexible views system and print using the reporting system. Not forgetting importing and exporting. Project Timer Lite can assess when the computer is not being used and on the Mac OS it even know when the computer is sleeping, utilizing this information you no longer bill the time that you are not working.

Multiple ways to track time. In addition to the clear icons on the main document window, we have provided a intelligent remote control. A remote control that can be minimized to take up the least space possible, yet when moused over will display the active timers. A remote control that will automatically relocate, if it was to appear off screen. On Mac OS X, Project Timer Lite takes advantage of the dock menu. On Windows Project Timer Lite takes advantage of the Windows System Tray. Both of the above system features provide the user with a quick way to track time without having a Project Timer Lite document in the foreground.

Built from Project Timer Pro, Project Timer Lite has been created from Project Timer Pro. In effect Project Timer Lite is Project Timer Pro's little brother. They both share some of the leading technology that has helped make Project Timer Pro the leading time tracking software available. Such as the data handling and organizing, the backup facility, the cross platform ability, the graphical printing (instead of creating a text file in a word processor) and the powerful yet easy to use interface. Project Timer Lite also uses the 'New Timer Templates' from Project Timer Pro. The files can even be inter-exchanged (please note however that Project Timer Lite does not support multi-user files) between Project Timer Pro and Project Timer Lite.

Data Handling. With Project Timer Pro & Project Timer Lite we have used a brand new database system for storing the data. This has several advantages over the previous system.

  • Live data saving, as soon as a modification is made it is saved. If you then have a crash your data is secure.
  • Store millions of records all in the one single file.
  • Use the dynamic views system to filter the records and only see what records you need to see, when you need to see them.
  • Fast record searching, quickly search through the records and list only the appropriate records.
  • Dynamic update ability, as we add more features your database can easily adapt.
Along with the live saving, the Project Timer series of applications also performs a sequential backup of the data file before it even begins to open it. Should the worst happen, simply use the built-in restore feature to restore a data file from a backup. For added security we recommend using an external backup solution along side, as this will protect against a hard drive failure.
