Project Timer Pro makes it easy to track the time spent working for clients, customers and employers.
Invoice Handling. Project Timer Pro handles invoicing the way it should be done. Project Timer Pro allows the creation of customized, professional looking invoices. They can be tailored to suit most businesses, even providing the ability to invoice expenses and other non-time related items. Invoices can be generated using pre-defined templates which save time when creating multiple invoices on a regular basis. Project Timer Pro doesn’t stop there, the invoices are stored within the same data file that the timers are stored in, this means that the invoices are kept together. Keeping the invoices in one place allows the user to quickly find/change/update what their are looking for. With great features such as similar record grouping, automatic 'Overdue' & 'Paid' stamping of the invoice, an overdue display showing how long the invoice has been overdue, it is no wonder that Project Timer Pro is much loved for its invoicing aspect alone.
 Multiple ways to track time. In addition to the clear icons on the main document window, we have provided a intelligent remote control. A remote control that can be minimized to take up the least space possible, yet when moused over will display the active timers. A remote control that will automatically relocate, if it was to appear off screen. On Mac OS X, Project Timer Pro
takes advantage of the dock menu. On Windows Project Timer Pro takes advantage of the Windows System Tray. Both of the above system features
provide the user with a quick way to track time without having a Project Timer Pro document in the foreground. Project Timer Pro v1.1 adds the 'Quick Switch' mechanism which allows you to quickly switch between running timers. We have also improved the methods for pausing, resuming and stopping a single timer when you have multiple timers running.
Customization, With Project Timer Pro we have added four separate searchable, sortable columns. These four columns can store any kind of data that is required i.e. Job ID or Task ID, Location or place of work, tools used or excess charges? Anything that may be relevant to that timer can now be stored with that timer. In addition to the four extra columns that can be used for any purpose, the titles of these columns and all other columns can be re-named. The re-naming takes place throughout Project Timer Pro, so it even reflected in exporting, reporting or invoicing. With version 1.1 we added the ability to rename the invoice column names when printing invoices.
Data Handling. With Project Timer Pro & Project Timer Lite we have used a brand new database system for storing the data. This has several advantages over the previous system.
- Live data saving, as soon as a modification is made it is saved. If you then have a crash your data is secure.
- Store millions of records all in the one single file.
- Use the dynamic views system to filter the records and only see what records you need to see, when you need to see them.
- Fast record searching, quickly search through the records and list only the appropriate records.
- Dynamic update ability, as we add more features your database can easily adapt.
Along with the live saving, the Project Timer series of applications also performs a sequential backup of the data file before it even begins to open it. Should the worst happen, simply use the built-in restore feature to restore a data file from a backup. For added security we recommend using an external backup solution along side, as this will protect against a hard drive failure.
 Multiple Users. Project Timer Pro, provides the ability to have multiple users. Each user can have their own preferences, categories, clients timer records, invoices, reports, Timer Record Templates, Invoice Templates and other items. If users are collected together using a group their data is shared amongst other Project Timer Pro users in the same group.
Synchronization. Project Timer Pro v1.1 added a new 'Synchronization' facility whereby its possible to alginate several Project Timer Pro files and then ensure that all the files are identical. Now several people can work on their own computers, but at the end of the week their files can be 'Synchronized' and a single invoice can be issued. This solution also works well for people who use more than one computer, i.e. a Desktop at the office and a Laptop while out on the road.
